In the city where over 160 cultures mix and live together there is a tolerant atmosphere towards the gay & lesbian community. Gay nightlife in Rotterdam is not huge but good enough to have a great time. Gaypalace is the main gay dance club in town and regularly gay & gayminded parties are being organized. There are several gay bars and other gay venues in town. In December 2011 2 gay (friendly) venues opened at Westelijk Handels Terrein (Bar Lef and party cafe In den Chique Poes).
Rotterdam clubs, cafes and parties in general are gayfriendly so never a dull moment when you visit Rotterdam.
In July 2011 Rotterdam proudly hosted the 13th EuroGames.
