Euromast Park

The park originates from 1852 but at that time was only half the size. Only in 1875 it became the park it is now. The parkdesigner is Zocher (also Vondelpark – Amsterdam). In the park are a number of characteristic buildings: The Orangerie, Stables and Koetshuis (1870) are in the middle of the park. The Harbour Club (fish restaurant) building originates from 1913. Just outside the park, opposite of Erasmus Medical Center you find the Norwegian Church (Sjømannskirken, 1914). The church was a gift from Norway to the city of Rotterdam.
In the park a statue of poet Hendrik Tollens and on the South side near the river the statue of the late Queen Wilhelmina.

Location: between Erasmus MC and river Maas
Public Transport: Tram 8, stop @ Kievitslaan

Located in the suburb Kralingen is the Kralingse Plas (lake) that is surrounded by the Kralingse Bos (forest). The lake finds it's origin in the late 19th century where the forest was designed in the early 20th century. On the East side of the lake you will find the so-called Lake Mills, The Lily (1740) and The Star (from 1886).
The park is mainly used for recreational purposes such as various watersports, skating, cyling and jogging. It is an excellent spot for a nice and relaxed walk or a picknick in Summer time. A number of restaurants are located on the lake shores.
