The Rotterdam Welcome Card offers discounts of 25% and more for a number of museums, day and evening attractions and restaurants. In the folder in which the card is presented, you will also find a city map. The Rotterdam Welcome Card is available in combination with a 1, 2 or 3 day public transport disposable chip card.

Offical Language: Dutch (English is generally spoken as are German, French and Spanish)
Currency: Euro (coins 1 cent, 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, 1 & 2 Euro, notes of 5, 10, 20, 50 are commonly accepted. Banknotes of 100 or 500 Euros are regularly not accepted).

Alarm - On the 1st Monday of every month the national alarmsystems are being tested at 12.00 hrs/noon.
Cash machines (ATM)- A number of cashmachines are available in the city center. Stadhuisplein, Beurstraverse (mall), Coolsingel (ABN/AMRO building) and Central Station are most centrally located.
Internet - Wireless hotspots are available at a number of places including Rotterdam The Hague Airport and Rotterdam Central Station.
Smoking is not allowed in public buildings nor in bars, clubs and restaurants.
GO 4 safety first! You are very well looked after while you visit Rotterdam. In the city center a number of areas are secured by camera. When you enter a secured area you will be notified with a sign. The subway stations also have camera security.
