What's new

Rotterdam is situated in the Southwest of The Netherlands in the province South Holland. There are plenty of options to travel to Rotterdam by car, train, plane, ferry, cruiseship or your own yacht! We will give you a selection of available information and our suggestions.

 
 

Road
By car, motorbike and touringcar Rotterdam can easily be reached. Best way to get into the city is to take EXIT 26 KRALINGEN on highway A16. Then follow signs for Center (Centrum). You will drive along the river Maas and enjoy the Rotterdam skyline from the moment you enter the city. Mind the speedlimit of 50 km/h. A number of paid parking facilities are available (follow P-route signs) but bear in mind that the city center parkings are often very busy.

Train
Rotterdam is accessible by national and international trains via Rotterdam Central Station (CS).

Rotterdam Central Station is currently under construction but when you follow the signs you will find your way in and outside the station. In 2011 a totally new building will welcome you to the city! The station also is a transitpoint for bus, tram and subway.

Rotterdam - Delft: 15 minutes
Rotterdam - The Hague: 20 minutes
Rotterdam - Amsterdam: 1 hour (30 minutes high speed)
Rotterdam - Antwerp (Belgium): 30 minutes (high speed)
Rotterdam - Brussels (Belgium): 1 hour + 11 minutes (high speed)
Rotterdam - Paris (France): 2 hours + 36 minutes (high speed)

Rotterdam The Hague Airport is thé gateway to Rotterdam
and is centrally located in the Southwest of The Netherlands. Direct destinations to and from Rotterdam The Hague Airport include: London City, Nice, Rome, Barcelona, Girona, Bergerac, Malaga, Alicante, Faro, Madrid, Milan, Prague, Vienna, Bergerac, Montpellier, Toulon & Biarritz. In winter, daily/regular flights are available to Innsbruck, Salzburg, Grenoble, Chambery, Friedrichshafen & Geneva.

Rotterdam The Hague Airport has excellent business facilities. KLM Jet Center offers high standard (handling) services for business and private jets.
Check in is possible until 30 minutes prior departure for
Cityjet / Air France/KLM flights and 90 minutes prior departure for all Transavia.com & (holiday) charter flights.

Ferry / Cruise ship / Yacht
Rotterdam can be reached by passenger ferry from the United Kingdom.

Rotterdam - Hull is operated by P&O Ferries.
P&O operates a shuttle to Rotterdam city center.

Hoek van Holland - Harwich is operated by Stena Line.
From Hoek van Holland a train will take you into Rotterdam Central Station.

Rotterdam World Port City
Where water is the leading thread in our city it will not be of a surprise you can easily travel to Rotterdam on your own yacht. Visiting ships have excellent mooring facilities at Veerhaven and Rotterdam City Marina both located very close to Rotterdam city center.
