Bus, tram and subway (metro) are operated by RET and are of a good quality.
The subway operates two lines: Erasmuslijn from North to South and Calandlijn from East to West. Busses and trams operate a great number of lines throughout the city and metropolitan area. During day and night cameras guard your safety in the subwaystations. RET also operates a nightservice. TIP: when you buy a Rotterdam Welcome Card your 1, 2 or 3 day transport ticket is included.

Tuk tuk Rotterdam is operating a number of tuk tuk taxis. You can stop them on the street or you can find them at Rotterdam CS or at the City Hall (Coolsingel). Prebookings via the website.
Fastferries and watertaxis operate in, to and from Rotterdam.
The Fastferry operates to and from Dordrecht from Willemskade (Spido cruises/Erasmusbridge). From here other neighbouring cities (Sliedrecht, Zwijndrecht) can be reached and via a stop in Ridderkerk you can reach the windmills of Kinderdijk. GO 4 more information.
The Aqualiner ferry takes you from Willemskade (Spido cruises/Erasmusbridge to RDM Campus.
The watertaxi operates scheduled services in Rotterdam to and from Hotel New York to Veerhaven and Leuvehaven. Like a normal taxi, the watertaxi also operates on request to a number of riverlocations in and around Rotterdam. Call local 010-4030303 to order a watertaxi. By public transport: Subway Erasmuslijn (blue line), Zuidplein station. Only 15 minutes from Rotterdam Central Station.
